ZEPHYR FARMS
It was great to see all of you at the April show at Zephyr Farms. We were lucky
to have decent weather this year to kick off the show season. Hope to see
everyone at the June show. Remember it will be two days, with Jumpers on
Saturday & hunters on Sunday. Look for our Jumper Jackpots! They were popular so
we are holding them again. We would like to congratulate the new owners of
Harley and Calypso. Best of luck! Congrats to all of Zephyr Farms students who
rode at both the ZF show and at Cloverleaf, winning lots of ribbons and having a
great time. See you at the shows!

MAPLEWOOD STABLES
We had two great weeks at the Oaks! Kevin was show champion 1.4 meter jumpers
with Osilvis, 2nd in the 6 yr olds and 4th 2nd year Green Hunters with On Star.
Tara and NV placed in every Large Pony Hunter class, Amelia was show champion
Children’s Jumpers with Prix D’Amie (their first outing together) and Dean was
2nd Adult Amateur Jumpers with Waltz in Time. Back in Reno, we kicked off the
season at Zephyr Farms and Cloverleaf Equestrian – and brought home plenty of
ribbons. Maplewood riders, past and present, enjoyed the World Cup Finals in Las
Vegas – over 20 attendees in all! Our second Horsemanship Clinic with Rebekka
Rhodes, which included some rider participation, was great. The first Osilvis
foal of the season is on the ground and she is stunning! Speaking of foals, we
expect our three in June and the 3 yr olds are starting under saddle, so come
check them out!
RED ROCK HOUNDS
RRH finished up the hunt season with three incredible days in Montana. 75 hounds
and 100 guests joined us from all over the world. We’d love to see you there
next year! Remember, John Charlebois will be here June 1-2, and our Horse Show
is June 3. We are changing gears for the show season, with many of our Juniors
and Adult Amateurs hard at work. Andrew Jayne is preparing for the National Pony
Club Tetrathalon Finals in Kentucky in July. Best of luck! Angela Murray heads
to the MFHA Centennial Field Hunter Championships with her wonderful mare,
Guthrie, Memorial Day weekend. Congratulations to our Field Hunter competitors -
Jerry Dugan, Andrew Jayne, Shelby Rector, and John Schafer, and Angela Murray
... we blew the doors off at Woodside last month. It won't be long before we
head to Virginia City with hounds and horses in tow for the 4th of July parade
and festivities!
